I only met Don about 3 years ago. Becky (Crawshaw/DesLauriers) took me up to the farm to meet the family that she had so many memories of. I talked with Don before he left with the American Legion to Washington to see the WWII Memorial. I just thought what an American "HERO" HE and Bud Crawshaw are!!!!!!! I will ALWAYS remember Don for the rest of my life !!!! He was fine fine father, husband and grandfather. He will ALWAYS be an American was HERO to me !!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Lois, Terry, & Jeannie, May great memories fill the void left by the loss of Don/your Dad. Very happy times, but now long gone are the days we spent Sunday afternoons with you. In the summer playing in the barn in the hay, running in the fields, catching lighting bugs, then making ice cream in the crank ice cream freezer. One time a "discussion" between Don & my Dad (Bud) about who put too much salt on the ice resulting in salty ice cream. In the winter we played hide & seek in the many rooms & stair ways of the big farm house. I don't know what they talked about but I loved listening to Don all the while clenching that pipe
On their first meeting my husband and Don spoke as 'tho they'd been long time friends. I imagine he and my Dad hugging and patting one another on the back & their laughter adding to the joys of heaven. May you find comfort knowing Don is now the BEST FARMER angel God has ! Sincerely, Becky Crawshaw-DesLauriers
