Missing you Michael, as I do every day... However, the month of July seems to be one of the times the missing is more empty, more deep, more black, more hollow. I am more irritable, more anxious, more broken. It will be six years this July 31st when God took you (and my heart and my soul and my spirit) home. I love you and your brother Daniel more than life itself. I am waiting, I am trying, I am tired, I am divided. With every beat of my heart, with every breath I breathe...I will always be your loving and devoted Mother: You will always be my loving son...always with me. I love you!

Two years in a couple of days Mike. A year back I looked at all the dumb conversations you, Dan, Josh, and I through text messages. Laughed real hard. I hope my children grow up to be like you, I could not think of any greater success as a father to have my boys be like the man you were. I miss you big guy. We'll be up in Vermont this weekend, I'll make sure to stop by and leave a drink for you. Keep holding that spot at the bar until we get there. RIP.

My beloved son...my heart...my soul...I am shattered. I love you with every beat of my heart and miss you with every breath I take. I am so proud to have been your Mom. You made me proud you were my son. You exceeded every dream I had for you. I will never let you go. Just waiting until we are together again in our eternal Heavenly home.

On My Honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law. These are strong word to live by. Michael has accomplished them all in the short time he was with us here on earth. As a youth leader of our Boy Scout Troop Mike has learned, followed and passed on these values to many. Your memory and HONOR will always be in our hearts.

For every life has a purpose to fill, a purpose which us humans can seldom infer. But Michael was a gift from heaven, whose purpose was to make this world understand what love, friendship, goodness, and humbleness was all about. Goodness belongs to heaven, and I know Michael is watching us from there, bestowing his beautiful smile upon us. May his soul rest in peace.
