Although you may not still be on this earth you will still always be there for me. I will miss hearing your voice during our heart to heart conversations but I will still have them with you from time to time. You were the best Mother a son could ever ask for. I love you and will always miss you.

January 14, 2013 was the most heartbreaking day of all,
In the early hours of the morning I got a dreadful call,
I hung up the phone, I rushed out of work,
To get home and pack and make it to New York.
An hour had passed and I got another call,
It was her friend Michelle, she said "I am sorry Anth she's gone.".
The biggest heartbreak of all, is I never said goodbye,
you were gone before I knew it, to that castle in the sky.
God seen the road was getting tough when a cure was not to be,
He said "Patty take my hand and walk this way with me".
I was not there to hear your last breath or even to hold your hand,
But God carried you like your favorite poem, "Footprints in the sand".
God seen that you were getting tired so an angel he did send,
You were more than a mother to me, you were my best friend.
If you still have your mother please cherish her with care,
Cause it only really hit's you when you turn and she is not there.
I often told you I loved you and how much you meant to me,
If I could walk up to heaven, I would go and set you free.
You died at the age of 61 when you should have been at your best,
God seen your pain and suffering and said you need some rest.
I think of you a lot, your always in my prayer,
I know your looking down on me, in fact your everywhere.
Heaven must be a beautiful place cause loved ones always stay,
I know your happy up above in each and every way.
We have been through a lot, at an early age in life,
Why did you take her away, my mother, my life?
I look up at the night sky and wonder where you might be,
I would love to send you this poem, "Could you send one to me"?
I have learned to lead a life apart from the rest,
What a wonderful woman you were, in fact you were the best!
You were a very strong woman who had been through quite a lot,
If you still have your mother make sure you give her everything you got.
This poem was an easy write for it comes straight from the heart,
But writing about a woman like you I didn't know where to start.
So God if you are listening, tell my mother up above,
How much I really miss her and please give her all my love.

I wanted to post this poem that I found and changed for our mother for everyone who had not seen it yet. I also wanted to thank everyone who posted in memory of our mother she was truly loved by many people.

To the Mason & Ricupero family,

Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart
for as long as there is memory
they'll live on in the heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with you,

Patty, I still miss you so much. I keep going to pick up the phone to call you, and then the reality of it all sinks in. Just doesn't seem possible. Just remember so many people loved you. You did a wonderful job with your pre-arrangements, essentially almost everything! I wouldn't expect anything else from you. You did a great job raising your boys, I can see alot of you in them. I miss your late night calls, when you just wanted to talk to someone when you were so sick. You will always be in my thoughts, along with the many people we knew that went before you. You were always there to help anyone at anytime. Sorry, just had to say goodbye one more time, hope you get the paper up there...... Love, Barbara
P.S. Please say hello to my husband and your Aunt Ronnie.
