Robert F. Neidl

Neidl, Robert F. STATEN ISLAND Robert F. Neidl, age 85, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 14, 2014. Born, raised and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late Michael Neidl of Albany and the late Catherine Adams Neidl of County Mayo, Ireland. Bob was a senior field auditor for Equitable Life Insurance Company in New York City for many years before retiring, and was a former communicant of the former Our Lady of Angels Church in Albany. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a world traveler who traveled to 126 countries and all seven continents. Brother of the late Raymond Neidl, the late Michael Neidl, the late Kathleen Gallagher and the late Thelma Neidl. Bob is survived by several nephews and nieces and his dear and loyal friends, Mary and Billy Karpeles. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Marie Boyle Neidl. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at the Zwack & Sons Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave., Albany. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m., before the service. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
