I was a student of Mr. Seeley's in the late 80's at Greenville HS. I always said that he was one of my best teachers and definitely the teacher I like the most. He was personable with the students and loved to get the class involved in the topic of the day. I actually mentioned him to a friend two weeks ago, so he made a lasting impression in my life. His thoughts were with you while he was at school. He mentioned you often; in fact, I remember many stories he told of you - among them, one of him on a bus in Buffalo trying to get a crying baby Noel to sleep... May you find peace and remember him fondly.

Vince was more than an Uncle; he was a friend, a confidant, a teacher, and a wonderful person to spend time with. I was lucky enough to be able to live at his house while I was stationed in New York. Over the years, Vince has taught me many things that will help me throughout my life. I can still remember our "discussions" out on his patio. Vince had a great zest for life and was not afraid to voice his opinion about anything. Even after I moved out, I still enjoyed talking with Vince. He has helped me get through many struggles. I will miss our discussions and his words of wisdom (of which he had many), and most especially, I will miss his ability to laugh at anything life threw his way. But I will treasure everything about Vince's life.
Sherrie and Noel, you are in my thoughts and prayers always.

"Mr. Seeley" was a teacher I've always remembered as a one of my favorites. He listened, inspired and encouraged us all to be independent thinkers. He loved a good discussion and we loved to sidetrack him with open ended questions on current events. My best wishes to his family. He left a big impression on this old world.

I had the pleasure of being a student of Mr. Seeley's at Greenville High School during the 1970's. Through his enthusiasm for teaching and his ability to motivate students, he helped instill a passion for lifelong learning in me. I teach at a college now and always try to "pass forward" what I've learned from teachers like Vince. My sincerest condolences go out to the Seeley family.

Thank-you for all that you have given me. You were a great teacher, mentor, role model and friend. You have and will continue to impact my life and the lives of my students. Thank you.

Sherrie and family,

My wife Gail and I are so sorry for your loss. I am so sad that I did not keep up with Vince over the last couple of years. It was such a shock to hear this devistating news.
I'll always cherish the time we spent down in North Carolina...golfing with Vince and his father-in-law, laughing when he beat both of us!..our families having dinner together in Wilmington. Such a fun time.. and to be with friends so far away from "reality" made it even better.
Vince's sense of humor and intelect were second to none. I will miss him so.
My wife if having intensive chemotherapy this week for ovarian cancer, so please forgive me for missing the services.
My sincerest symphathy.

Dear Sherri & Noel--
No words will make your hearts lighter now, but please know that Vince will live on forever in the hearts of those who taught with him, and were his students. He was a truly remarkable man. God give you strength.
