STELTER Carol J. Stelter, 71, of Orange Park, FL passed away Monday, March 24, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 28, 2014 at St. Catherine of Siena, 1649 Kingsley Ave Orange Park, FL 32073. Burial will immediately follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2014 (TONIGHT) from 5:00 7:00 PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073. Mrs. Stelter was born to Walter W. and Blanche A. Faschingbauer on November 24, 1942 in Bloomer, WI. She worked in the cafeteria at Orange Park High School for many years and was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 5968. She was an avid reader and bowler and she also enjoyed long walks on the beach and collecting white seashells. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Stelter was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister, Darlene Faschingbauer. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Duane E. Stelter; 3 children: Tina Stelter, Shelly Horton, and Bryon Stelter (Susan); a brother, Duane Faschingbauer (Ann), 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her best friend of over 40 years, Sylvia McGriff AKA The Huss; as well as many extended family members and friends. I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was wonderful. When I think of my childhood I fondly remember you all. She will be missed. She, Millie and my mom are all up there running the show.
