Pops really enjoyed the kids and each visit was a new insight into how much they had grown since the last time. I miss talking to him in the morning on my commute to events. He loved to talk about daily news, sports, politics and he always looked for news in California he could report to us before we saw it. He was always there for us, like the sun or the moon and like those, we also took him for granted. He is greatly missed.

I am so glad that I got to see Uncle George fairly recently in our hometown of Yadkinville, NC. I have very fond childhood memories of large family gatherings when George and his family visited. My thoughts go out to Lee, Liz and family.

I was secretary to George Hudspeth at Mahoney Hadlow Chambers & Adams many years ago, as he led the litigation department there. As such, I learned a great deal, as he willingly gave me more responsibility than was usual, and was always graciously appreciative of my efforts. Because he was such a fine attorney and outspokenly appreciative boss, I was always proud to work with him, and I have many warm memories. At that time, I knew of his own faith and church work, but I was not yet a Christian myself. When I came to know the Lord, quite a few years after leaving his employment, he was one of the first people I called to tell about it, because I knew he would understand the meaning of that, and be so happy for me. I am grateful to have known and worked with him. Best wishes to the family.
