I've lost several very close friends in such a short amount of time. One to illness, one in the war, but losing Andy has seemed to affect me much more for obvious reasons, I guess. "..it's another goodbye to another good friend." May God's divine comfort be with his wife & kids,..& to anyone who ever had the privilege of knowing him. I will never laugh again like I did with Andy. Truly One in a Billion.
A candle in remembrance of Andy. And also for Andy's family.
It's been close to a year & I think about Andy & his family almost daily. Helen, Shannon, Baby Jack, I pray that the incomprehendible peace & comfort of Christ will fall on you like rain. Rick, Norwood, Jackie, Chris, my thoughts & prayers are with you all. Andy & myself laughed together every minute we were together. Now, my heart hurts..... I miss my friend.
Helen, Baby Jack & Shannon, Jeff loved Andy as if Andy was his own Brother. I remember going to play pool & hanging out with Andy & you, Andy's adoring Helen back in the early 80's along with a group of other people. Andy's laugh was so contagious. I know this month will be a tough time. Please know Helen, Baby Jack & Shannon, Jeff & I will have you in our prayers . If thier is ANYTHING we can do for you please let Jeff or me know. We Love you very much!! Jeff & Kym Brooks.
Helen and family, I just heard the news of Andy's passing and I wanted you to know we shall keep him in our prayers. May God bless and protect your family.
Andy and I were reared on Dakar St. in the Murray Hill section of Jacksonville, Fl. We grew up playing softball, catching tadpoles and spear throwing where once I caught Andy right in the center of his forehead. After graduating from Lee, Andy and I lost touch of each other. After 40 years, Andy looked me up. We talked for hours about those child hood days, and laughed because I remembered so little compared to him. His wife, Helen became my father's caretaker until he passed last year. Helen and Andy spent a week at my cabin where he hung his beautiful bird houses he made for me.I gave Andy a hard time about not having a tv or not using email or the internet, he gave it back to me about my lack of memory of people we had gone to school with and who had lived in our neighborhood. He could not believe how little I could remember, and used it against me.
Andy had a generous heart, a curious mind, and a gentle soul. Rest in peace , sweet Andy, you will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

It's the little things, the small, everyday occurrences that you'll remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles. And even though it seems like you can never recover from your loss, it is these very memories that will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles. My other sister kept in touch with him over the years up until last week. Please be asured that Andy and you are in our hearts and prayers.

My condolences to all of Andy's family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I feel so fortunate that I was able to visit with Andy a few years ago, and got to meet Helen, Jack, and Shannon. It felt wonderful to be able to introduce my husband and son to a friend from my childhood. Actually a friend of my brothers, but Andy became almost like another little brother to me. You will be missed badly, Andy.
