ANDERSON Sandra June Fraser Anderson was born in Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida on March 3, 1938. She died October 12, 2013. Sandy was the daughter of the late State Senator Edwin Fraser and wife Jackie of Macclenny, Florida. She is survived by her husband Reverend Gerald W. Anderson (Jerry) of Orange Park, Florida; daughter Dr. Jeri L. Anderson (Stephen A. Jaynes) of Cincinnati, OH; son Scott F. Anderson (Ruby); grandchildren Kristopher Anderson, Morgan Anderson, and step granddaughter Cassie Register; numerous nieces and nephews. Sandy was a graduate of the first Nursing class of the University of Florida School of Nursing. She met her husband at the University and they married August 11, 1960. Jerry was recalled to the US Air Force in 1963, and she spent the next 21 years as an Air Force wife, traveling to Alabama, California, Maine, Louisiana, Tennessee, the Philippines, Texas, Turkey, and Arkansas. She enjoyed her traveling so much she decided in 1977 to become a travel agent and worked in that career until illness forced her to retire in 2009. Other than her family, Sandy's greatest love was music. She sang with choral guilds in Texas, Arkansas, Atlanta, and Jacksonville. She sang with Masterworks Choral in Jacksonville and always sang in choirs in the many churches she attended. Sandy was a talented and loving wife, mother and friend. She will be greatly missed. She is now safe in the arms of the one who loves and heals. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 15 at 5:00 p.m. at Orange Park United Methodist Church, 4150 Park Ave., Orange Park, FL. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Orange Park United Methodist Church Music Program, 152 Stowe, Orange Park, FL 32073. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com

We said hello for many years. We did not get to say goodbye. We were great friends in high school and years that followed. Some where along to way we lost touch with each other. The Fraser family was very special. They treated me like one of their own. A day will come again when we can say hello and enjoy our heavenly home.

Sandra was a very special friend during our high school days. and years that followed. As I sit here today my memories are still in my heart. Her family was like a second family to me. Sleep overs, playing bridge, Sunday night youth meetings, cook outs, dances in the garage and our weddings. Fun memories. Somewhere along the years that followed, we lost track of each other. Jerry and family, I pray that God watches over you and that your memories bring comfort. God bless.

Jerry-I just learned of Sandy's physical death. I praise God that we know her spirit and soul departed to be with our Lord. Memories from the 50's and 60's when we were best of friends are treasured. I know God will comfort you and your family during your time of sadness.

With deepest sympathy during your time of grief. May you be blessed with the endurance and support you need now and in the days to come. God is for us a refuge and a help that is readily to be found during difficult times. (Ps. 46:1).

I am sorry for your recent lose. Even though you are feeling down Psalms 146:5,9 says that God is your helper and as long as you have hope in Him he will protect and sustain you in your times of need.

Sandra was a dear teenage friend while growing up in Macclenny. Indeed, she eas an outstanding leader in High School. I did not have the pleasure of maintaining the friendship as adults over the years. My sincere condolences to her family.

Jerry,
You probably don't know us but we know you. Sandy helped us put together many trips when we lived in Orange Park. She always had a smile and a cheerful l way about her. Sharon Schade is our friend as well and has kept us up on Sandy's progress.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
