Gary D. Heatley, 60, of Covington, died at home on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
He was the husband of Cheryl Blank, whom he married on Oct. 11, 1975. Gary was born July 26, 1952, in Wellsboro, the son of the late Frederick and Alice May Blackwell Heatley.
Gary was a graduate of Liberty High School, the class of "1970." In addition, he attended Williamsport Community College. He was employed at HMAC in Lawrenceville, as a material manager. Gary attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wellsboro. Gary was a hard worker, devoted to his family. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Surviving in addition to his wife Cheryl, are his daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer Heatley of Ithaca, N.Y., Diana and David Edler of Liberty; two grandchildren, Brie Edler, Kaylee Edler; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Irene Heatley of Morris.
Friends and family are invited to Gary's Life Celebration on Sunday, April 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral will be Monday, April 8, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Pearl St., Wellsboro, with the Rev. Canon Gregory Hinton and Rev. Dr. Keith Blank, officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Morris. Memorials may be made in Gary's name to St. Jude's Children Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis Tenn. 38105-3678. Words can't express the sorrow you must feel. Gary was a wonderful man, mentor, father, husband and in his latest role of grandpa he shined the most! His suffering has ended but the fond memories will live on forever in all of those who knew him.
