Mark Cronce Obituary

Cronce, Mark Alan July 4, 1955 February 28, 2014. Mark is survived by his wife Clare Adams Cronce, mother of their three children Heidi, Meghan and Michael. Beloved son of Patricia Cronce. Dear brother of LuAnn Koziol, Anita (Bruce) Ellsberry, Lori Auterman, Sandy (Scott) Kurth, Kathy Weir, and Timothy Cronce (Susan). He is further survived by 18 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father, Llewellyn, and sister, Janet. This self-proclaimed "ideas man" started his career at West Allis Bank, followed by roles in Sales and Division Management at Prudential Insurance ('74-'88), Monarch Insurance ('88-'91), WPS Insurance ('91-'09) as Large Group Consultant and Vice President of Sales, and Aegis Corporation ('09-'10). His professional designations included CLU and LUTCF. Mark was active in MALU, WAHU and GMEBC. Board member of GSMA and Milwaukee 7, and member of the Public Policy Forum. Dedicated to community, Mark also served on the Ozaukee Country Board of Supervisors for 20 years as a distinguished member of 15 different committees, including focused leadership as the Vice Chairperson on Administrative, Finance and Reorganization programs instrumental in Ozaukee's performance. As our fearless teacher and mentor, Mark was passionate about golfing, hunting, fishing, youth soccer, cold Pepsi and, of course, a great cigar. A special thank you to the brilliant and caring staff of Froedtert Hospital and the Cancer Care Center during our family's nearly four-year journey. Family will greet friends at a memorial service in late spring at Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve. Contact [email protected] . We love you Mark you were a man amongst men. We will go fishing again.

I was sad to see Mark's obituary yesterday. He was our WPS rep at my old employer and informed me of a job opening at my current employer, Milwaukee Transport Services, Inc. (we operate the Milw. County Transit System) almost 22 years ago. Many years ago, my husband and I enjoyed gathering at Mark's house with him & Clare...very gracious hosts. Mark was always such a positive person with a wonderful laugh. He will truly be missed by many! My sincere sympathy to his entire family.

My name is Mark Sahagian. I was saddened to learn of an old friends passing. I had the pleasure of hiring Mark in 1975 at Prudential Insurance Company. He was only 20 or 21 at the time, and chances of success in our business at that age were minimal. He made me believe that he could succeed, and nearly immediately proved that he was correct. I worked with Mark until 1982, when I moved on from Prudential, but we would see each other at industry events for years after. I lost contact with Mark for the last few years. I retired and moved out of the Milwaukee area. It was a pleasure to know Mark. He was always enthusiastic, and had a great attitude. There would be nothing stopping his pursuit of success. He was a man of high integrity, and professionalism. I'm proud to have been his friend, and business associate. I pray that God will bless his family, in this time of grief.
