Having been a Sociology major at CSULB in the 1970s, by far the most informative and enlightening class I ever took in the undergraduate program was a course called SOCIOLOGY OF SEXUAL BEHAVIOR, in which EVERY semester there formed an endless waiting list of students hoping to enroll in this highly sought after course. While I cannot recall the husband/wife instructors' names any longer, they were SO INSPIRED by the Masters & Johnson research and treatment modalities of sexually dysfunctional spouses, that they TOO pioneered a very similar lab in Long Beach, CA that treated and "retrained" couples to be more sexually and emotionally congruent and compatible.
Your mother's work made a favorable and lasting impression on a naïve and sexually ignorant but highly active young male in his early twenties.
I hope the current Showtime show, MASTERS OF SEX is accurately and justly reflecting the early life of your iconic mother!
My sincerest condolences to you and your family,
Bradford Bodeaux, MSW.
You mother was a true "force of nature." What an incredible legacy...
