Debbie and Family,
My deepest sympathy and prayers on the loss of your father. You should be so proud of him. May those wonderful memories bring you peace.

Please let me extend deepest sympathy, heartfelt prayers, and gratitude for precious memories from our family and community on the passing from this life of Judge Buddy Restivo. Truly, he was a generous ad kind "buddy" to all who knew him.

Our family has known smiling Judge Restivo and his devoted wife Jane and extraordinary family for over two generations...
since the time he worked on the produce markets of Toledo, through his attainment of a law degree, work as an attorney, and eventual rise to elected office as a fair-minded judge and public official.

He has shared his love of life, good heart, and generous spirit as husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather for his wonderful family, as well as our community and country.

How fortunate each of us is to have known him, been blessed by his happy spirit, love of life, and even handed dispensing of the law. His good measure lifted us all. May his family and friends draw strength and comfort from his example of living life to its fullest while helping countless others along life's way.

My deepest condolences to Judge Restivo's family on his passing. He is a special part of my memories because of all I would hear about him when my aunt, Mary Jean Nyitray, worked for him in the Toledo Municipal Court. Interestingly, she passed away just before he did. I know she greatly admired and valued him and because of what she shared with me, I grew to admire him, too. May he rest in peace and may all who mourn him be comforted.

One of the finest and fairest.

To Jane and the Restivo family: I am very sad to hear of the death of Judge Restivo. Not only was he a mentor to me but also a friend. He hired me in 1968 as a secretary and continued to encourage me to grow and expand upon my career. So many attorneys and others working within the legal system owe their careers to him, as he truly enjoyed hiring young lawyers and encouraging them to attain their personal best. He was wise, funny, fair, sympathetic and concerned for the welfare of everyone that crossed his path. I will never forget his kindness.
