I spent three years on the staff at the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1958,59, and 60 as the offensive line coach and Frank was the defensive line coach. In 1958 the year of the famous "Lonesome End" offense and the "Monster and Chuckles" defense is still the last undefeated Army team. Frank was an outstanding coach and instrumental in developing our defense that was ranked third nationally that year. Frank was my first passenger after I learned to fly after coaching when we lived in Waterville. Even at that time he was fearless. Frank came to stay with Sandy and me in Dayton and we flew up to West Point for the 50th reunion of that famous 1958 team in 2008. What fond memories we have of Frank and too few times together. He will be greatly missed. God bless and our sympathy to the family.
