Diane I feel so fortunate to have spoken with Jerry a few months back when we exchanged the audio of the 1970 graduation. It gave me a chance to tell him how much his role at Central meant to me. Few people truly inspire others to excel and fewer still can figure out how to do it in a room full of rowdy high school kids. His passion was what stood out and what made his years at CCHS full of beautiful music and great fun.

To all the DePrisco family,

Laurie and I have had the pleasure of Jerry's company for over 30 years. We've golfed, partied, dined, and traveled together over the years. We've enjoyed Jerry and his family on many occasions. His love for others and love for music were always evident. Quick witted, great sense of humor, passion for music and golf really set him apart. His constant phone calls over Laurie's health were a true measure of the size of his heart.

He has left behind a legacy of excellence in music and will
be remembered for years to come.

We will miss him.

Love,

Laurie and Bob Moore

I first met Jerry when he was marching down LaGrange Street on Memorial Day, 1972, with the Central Catholic Band. He sold me the trumpet that I have played semi-professionally and he sat in to sing a few songs occasionally with us in the Duane Malinowski Band. Jerry was always encouraging and positive, he will certainly be missed and fondly remembered.

DePrisco Family, my prayers are with you in the loss of your father. Jerry and I go back many years especially in the early 1960's when I played sax in his quartet at the Eagles Club. After the gig, we would go for a hamburger and discuss all the problems of being a high school band director. I also played for him at the State Theater during the summer musicals....he was a great conductor and pianist. RIP Jerry, you will be missed.

Our Sympathy to your family, will always appreciate his music and how he shared with others. A man with many music talents and created a great high school band when we were at CCHS. May your dads music always be with him and now sharing with the angels in heaven.

Dear DePrisco family

I was sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. While I was not a member of any of your dad's glee clubs since I went to St. Francis, I did have the privilege of also being an Evans Scholar at OSU while Dan was there. If Mr. D was anything like Dan, I am sure I would have enjoyed knowing him. It sounds like he lived a full and fulfilling life.

I am sorry for your loss.
