John I am sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I had the privilege to practice in front of him on civil cases, defending felonies and of course some big prosecutions. He was kind to me when my daughter died and was never afraid of doing the right thing and he did tell a good story. He was so tough it is hard to believe he is gone. -

A fixture of my childhood, Bruce was a kind, welcoming,& tolerant neighbor to me and my sisters. He and June extended their back yard to us, where we spent countless hours climbing in the enormous apple trees there! Though it's true, as many have noted here, he was always good for a joke or story as I tagged along on yard work chores, I recall him being a good & patient listener to a little girls endless stories & chatter! Peace dear neighbor.
With warm thoughts to the Huffman & Nefores families.

Patty, I heard about your father passing and wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I always had good memories of the judge (and you). An old friend (Fred).

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. A veteran and patriot, our country and community are stronger because of Judge Huffman's dedicated passion for justice. A member of the Greatest Generation of Americans, Bruce will be truly missed...his contributions not forgotten.

We are so sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. We enjoyed seven years of being their neighbor on the golf course. Both Bruce and June were special people. God bless.

Dear John and Maureen,
Please accept our condolences on the passing of your dad. I lost my dad this past June and therefore I know how you must be feeling. It's not easy even though both your dad and mine had lived long and worthwhile lives.
We send our prayers.

To the Bruce Huffman family: I met Bruce back in the 60s when I was a State Highway Patrol trooper at the Fremont Patrol Post. I found Bruce to be one of the best judges I had ever met, and from that time on till his retirement in 1985 I would meet and talk with him in and around Fremont. I also retired in 1985 as a State Highway Patrol Captain, and I will always remember Bruce as a great Judge and friend. Respectfully; Ret Capt. E.E. Suffecool

Dear John, Maureen, Patty and familes,
I am sending my sicerest sympathy to all of you. The "Judge" was truly a very special person. I was very fond of him and will miss his humor. May peace and comfort be in your hearts as he rests in heaven.

While I have served on at least one jury in Judge Huffman's court, and remember how generous with his time he was to us afterwards explaining what had happened, I continue to recall with admiration his judicial leadership when Sandusky County was going through the implementation of the EMS system way back in the 1970's. It was Judge Huffman's wisdom that settled that initial lawsuit to the satisfaction of all. I certainly join others with only the fondest memories of Judge Huffman. "Well done, good and faithful servant."
