Dearest Ann, I'm not sure how often you check this, but know my prayers are with you and the girls on you loss.
This is a voice from the past. I was going through several photo albums last week and discovered a photo of you, Clayton and Jennifer at the Detroit Zoo circa 1975. I decided to look you up on Google to see if I could mail a copy to you.
That is when I discovered the sad news about Clayton. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. He will always be remembered by us for that big happy smile and the fun times we had in Kalamazoo.
I would still lime to connect with you and share the photos but need your mailing address.
Ron, Your family is my family always. I know how much you will miss Clayton. I've heard so many nice things about him and I send prayers for the family. He will be sorely missed from all I know of him. Love, Julie
Our condolences to Ann, the girls and family.

I was so sorry to see hear of Clayton,s passing and express our sympathies to you and your family. I remember him as a good neighbor and friend who helped save Crane Park and erradicate the bat from our house with a six pack of beer and a broom.
Jennifer and family, I am so sorry for your loss. You have my sincere condolences to your family. I hope your fond memories of him outweigh your pain.
I hope you find comfort in this time of your loss. Know that God is a God of comfort and tender mercies (1 Cor. 1:3)If you call on Him, He will turn His ear to you, and can provide you with the comfort needed during this time.
Clayton was the ultimate person , gentlemen, and businessman. When I came to the Downtown Toledo parking Authority 5 years ago to work for him I thought I knew everything about operating a business. I was very wrong. This man taught me so much, and I am a better person for that . I will always be greatful for the time I spent with him.
Ann, you and your family are in my prayers.
So sorry to here of Clayton's passing. I was fortunate to have built both his McArthurs stores. I still wear clothes that I bought from him at Redwood and Ross, and McArthurs. They are timeless. He will truly be missed.
I am very sorry to read of the sad news. My memories of Clayton go WAY back to his early days @ Redwood & Ross in the late 60's! I remember he used to order vanilla milk shakes 'with an egg' at Pipers Drug Store as I'd often see him in there for lunch when I worked at a nearby shoe store. Later I remember him @ McArthur's.
Hopefully, memories of happier times will help assuage your sorrow.
I'll say a prayer for his soul and for your comfort.
Clayton was a strong supporter of The Downtown Kalamazoo Association when he was a businessman and resident of the Kalamazoo area. An honest, fair and supportive member of the DKA & the community. A good man! A great loss. Condolences to his family.
The Johnston family is very dear to the Hilton family. We had many great adventures over the years. Clayton will always be a bright thought for us. Love to Ann and the girls.
Clayton was my good friend's older brother. All the eighth grade girls thought he was so cute. And he was really nice to us.I know he grew up to be a responsible loving citizen. Regards to the family.

Ms. Ann our Clayton will truly be missed. I was blessed to have talked with him for Christmas with a surprise call from him, when I told him I missed him he said "I miss you, that's why I'm calling" and we both laughed. He was always encouraging me to do better and be better. I will always cherish the fact that he took the time to teach me so much about parking, business and most importantly customer service. He was a force in downtown Toledo that non will ever match! My prayers are with you Ms. Ann and your family in this time of loss.
Truly one of the best persons I've ever worked for. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Truly one of the best persons I've ever had the pleasure of working for. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
Clayton will be missed and always appreciated for his contributions to Downtown Toledo. He was an inspiration to his staff at ParkSmart and our prayers and thoughts are with his family.
