Don and my husband, Ivan Wolin both in listed in the Marines at the same time, in Sept, 1951,each going in different directions. Ivan passed away in 1984 at the age of 53.

Don will be sorely missed by family and friends, He was an inspiration to work with, who willingly shared his knowledge of fire fighting with many a recruit over the years. A good man and a good Firefighter.

My wife babysat Dons boys when we were dating. I later met Don when I joined the fire dept. Don was a loving father,and a hard working firefighter. It was my great pleasure to have known and worked with him.

My father had the honor of working with Don on the Toledo Fire Department & always spoke highly of him. During Don's illness I had the pleasure of caring for him for several weeks. There was always a twinkle in his eyes & a sweet smile whenever I entered his room. I enjoyed starting my shifts having small talk with Rose & Don. It was an honor to meet you both.
