Jurek family, So sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of getting to know and working with Don at Charter One Bank. His gentle kindness is what I'll always remember. I still have the hand made picture frame he and his wife gave as a gift.

Years ago I worked with Don at the Lewis rd People's branch with Marilyn Roberts while mostly working at Byrne and Glendale branch, and shadow valley! 1973 thru 1984! What a pleasure it was to know Don, while working with Rodger Reinbolt, John Ostrander, Mike Booth and jean Strauss! Don taught us so much! I am a better person to have known him! God bless you, Don! Thank you so much!

My sympathy and prayers are with the Jurek family. Don was a great friend of my parents at St. Catherine's and SFS. He was always willing to drive my father to events and I think they may have even shared a cold one afterwards. I always remember his friendly "hellos" to me; he will be missed.

I worked with your Dad when it was still People's Savings and then on into the Charter One Bank days. He was truly the personification of a gentleman. He was kind, generous and honest. I always felt like I worked with Jimmy Stewart when I was around him. he was loved by all. I am truly sorry for your loss, but know you will bask in his legacy!

I first met Don in 1990 when he was the manager of Charter One's Westgate Office. One of my most memorable moments at the bank is serving ice cream to our customers. Don dressed up in a white straw hat and bright red and white striped sport coat. We were surprised at the customer turnout and quickly realized that it is easier to dish up soft ice cream rather than the harder version.
Don was a top fight banker who put his customers first. He was a great co-worker and we at Charter One were blessed to have served with such a fine professional.
