To Gerry's family: My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Gerry was a friend of my Dad's (Don Like from New Bavaria)and our whole family. Gerry and Bea spent a lot of time in our home with our family. I have spent many times in the past visiting with Gerry and Bea on St. Patrick's Day at OB's! Gerry and Bea were wonderful people and fun to be around. God Bless Gerry and Bea and I am sure they are back together again, smiling, laughing and having a beer together.

Dear Jerry, Your loving heart will remain with so many. You have touched so many lives and were the essence of a true inspiration of a dedicated
American. It was an honor to know you and a blessing to know you and Aunt Bee were my husband's (Jerry O'Brien) Godparents. I enjoyed our visits at Hospice. From now on, I will consider you my official "Birthday Angel", since we share that same special day! Just what you needed....another official title! God Bless Your Loving Heart! RuthAnn Montaine

"A Veteran Died Today"
(Author Unknown)
He was getting old and paunchy and his hair was falling fast, and he sat around the Legion, telling stories of the past. Of a war that he had fought in and the deeds that he had done. In his exploits with his buddies; they were heroes, everyone. All his buddies listened, for they knew whereof he spoke. But we'll hear his tales no longer, for ol' Gerry has passed away, and the world's a little poorer, for a Veteran died today.
If we cannot do him honor, while he's here to hear the praise, then at least let's give him homage, at the ending of his days. Perhaps just a simple headline, in the paper that might say:
OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING,
FOR A VETERAN DIED TODAY.

Rest in Peace "Uncle" Gerry
