I had just been thinking of Jackie and was so sorry to read of her passing. As a young reporter in what then was known as The Blade's women's news department, I found Jackie to be a welcoming presence and always a delight to be around. She will remain among those I remember most fondly from my own days at The Blade.
Jackie and her first husband Alvin were close friends ,and were wonderful people. They were a joy to be with and I will always remember them.
I will always remember Aunt Jackie for her kind heart and infectious smile. Rest in peace....you are with your angels.
Joann, we were so sorry to hear of your sisters passing. May peace be with you and your family. michelle and don and claudine
Such a beautiful example for us all. I am inspired by her life, yet sorry for the family's loss. As you grieve, know that God is there to comfort those who mourn (Matt. 5:4)
A truly wonderful person. She kept sending cards to us for many years after I left The Blade.
To: Jackie's wonderful family,
We are in Floida and received Ann Pilkington's call this morning about Jackie's passing for which we are deeply saddened. We have received her beautiful Christmas card and were thinking about her. She never missed sending a Christmas card or a birthday card over many years. She was a wonderful, thoughtful, kind, and and generous person and fun to be with. she could polka with the best of them.
We are very sorry that we cannot be with Jackie's family and extend our heartfelt sympathy and we will always remember the many good times that we had with our favorite Jackie.
Spencer and Prudy Stone
Thank you, Jackie, for keeping in touch with your Christmas cards all these years. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
