All our love and prayers to the family. Mr. Whitehead was a very enjoyable teacher....8th grade was my first year in the Springfield schools...he was one of my favorite teachers.
Kathy, Jim, Becky and Family,
Thinking and praying for all of you during this difficult time. Both of your parents were amazing teachers and I am thankful for their dedication to so many at Springfield Schools.
It was so nice to run into both of them with Jim and his wife at Bob Evans several years ago. I was complimented that Mr. Whitehead remembered me.
Mr. Whitehead was my 7th grade math teacher. I was lucky to see him at Flower Hospital after high school. He was a volunteer and I worked there. May God comfort you and give you strength, healing, and peace!
I'm sorry to hear of Mr. Whitehead's passing. My family lived next door to you for a few years in the early 70's. I would have been around 3 years old then. I spent many an afternoon visiting with Grandmother and was blessed to have Becky take great care of me when my parents needed a sitter! Thank you to your family for your kindness and generosity! I am truly sorry for your loss.
I remember both Mr. and Mrs. Whitehead fondly from Springfield Jr. and Sr. High Schools. My deepest sympathy to his family.
Jim and Claire were our neighbors for over 20, years. Would that everyone had such kind and caring persons living next door. Rest in peace. David and Susan Smith
May our Lord and Savior bring comfort and healing in your time of grief.
Jim was a one-of-a-kind gentleman. He was always willing to help in any way he could, and he did it with a sincere smile. I always looked forward to seeing him and his lovely wife when they came into the office. He was such a good listener, and care about what folks shared with him. May our Lord wrap His arms around you and comfort you with all the wonderful memories you have of him.
My heart is with the family at this time. I have many fond memories of both being neighbors and student!! Condolences from my mom and dad also!! Hugs and prayers!!
Your dad was a wonderFul family friend of ours, always there with a big smile and hug. He was one in a million and he will be missed.

So sorry to hear the passing of a great man. Mr. Whitehead had a profound impact on my education, and I wish there were more teachers like him. Condolences to his family.
Saddened to learn of Jim's passing. We have such fond memories of being your neighbors so long ago. Spending Winters in Bonita Springs, Fl and summers on Catawaba Isl. Nicole and family in Calif.
Rebecca, You and your family have my sincerest condolences. It sounds as if he lived a long, productive life. His memories will be cherished by you forever. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Your Father was our high school teacher. We all respected him with high honors. He took time to teach us well. We have never forgotten him. Actually am better at math than spelling. Our most sincere condolences.
So Sorry to hear of his passing. I remember him from Springfield High School. He influenced many of us throughout the years.
We are so sad to hear of
"Mr. Whitehead's" passing. He was such a kind, gentle, generous man and neighbor sharing his special homemade preserves and cookies! (We moved next door in 1977!) He will be greatly missed. We are sorry that we will not be able to attend services and greet family as we are in FL now. Love & prayers, Tom & Marilyn Hartman
