Good day to you all, it is with a heavy heart and a prayerful state that jenny, stanley, and I leave a message here...I personally loved your father and you all very much as you were always kind ot me and our family and well as many others...like I said before, Heaven got a Great one back and I think God wanted jean to fix up the future Garden of Eden we are all hoping to get too! peace and Blessings to you all, Jean would have loved our park systems out here......
Returning from the cottage we just heard this morning about Jean's passing. How very sad for you and your family, Janet. What a wonderful man. From first meeting him during our Cathedral days he was one you always looked forward to seeing. Sometime just running into him in the aisles at the Andersons. He always took time to stop, and catch up with us and our family.
He was valiant in the manner he handled his illness and the care he had for his family. I know you are all proud of his acomplishments but more so for his generous love to family and friends. Our prayers are with you through this grieving time. Sorry we could not be at his funeral.
Carole and Dick Hunter
Dear Jan, I am so sorry to hear about Jean's passing. It has been many years since our paths crossed, but I remember you, Jean, and your family well and have thought of our conversations often. May God bless you in this time of loss.
After returning from a family vacation I was saddened to read of Jean's passing. Greater Toledo is a better place because of Jean's endeavors in the conservation of public land. He has long been an inspiration to my personal and professional life. I am grateful for having the opportunity to have known him. I will always miss him. Best wishes to the Ward Family.
Dear Janet and family, so sorry for your loss, always thought he was a nice guy. Your cousin Bob George, Seekonk

Wife, children, sister, brother, grandchildren and friends. I am not good in writing anything at this difficult time to all of you. Some else wrote this poem. I don't know who but I wanted to do this just for all of you.
We though of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.
I am so sorry about your love one we will meet one day.

For those of us who were in the Ohio Department of Natural Resources who had the pleasure of working with Jean, we express our sympathy. To many of us, Jean Ward was the first name thought of when it came to parks, recreation, and conservation in Toledo and Northwest Ohio. Good man.
Janet and family, please accept our most sincere sympathy on the loss of your kind and caring husband and father. He was a true friend to so many. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
Jerry and Karen Jankowski
Nekko and Family,
All of us at Ford Motor Company regret your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
Sometimes the measure of a man is to be a great father, for others a great friend, for others it's to be a caring mentor, or simply to leave a place much better because you were there. Jean's greatness was that he was all of those things. We have all lost something in his passing. I will miss his smile, his laugh which he shared so freely, the genuine interest when he asked others how they were. He's an extraordinary man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My love and condolences to his wonderful family, especially Janet, the love of his life.
