Cousins -- Aunt Betty was such a special aunt. She was always so much fun! She was a wonderful cook, and I will always remember her vegetable gardens. Tom and I were honored that she sang at our wedding 36 years ago. Your family is in our prayers.
Mrs. Smith was not only a wonderful teacher, she was like family. When my parents attended Adrian College, they were friends with Bud and Betty. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, and I hope peace and comfort will be found for her children and grandchildren (and great grands) in the love and kind words of those who knew her.
We loved Mrs. Smith at Adrian College! She was a patroness for our music fraternity there, Sigma Alpha Iota.
Nate and family,
WHAT A PURE TREASURE YOUR MOM WAS TO ME. SHE ALWAYS HAD FAITH IN ME WHEN DOC jONES TOOK A SABBATICAL MY SENIOR YEAR AT ADRIAN COLLEGE. I REMEMEBER WHEN ONE OF MY CHOIR MATES WAS PUTTING ME DOWN AND I WENT TO HER ABOUT IT. SHE JUST SAID "SING YOUR BEST AND GIVE IT TO GOD". I DID AND AND IT WORKED. I PRAY GOD WILL HOLD YOU CLOSE DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
Aunt Betty was one of the warmest, most genuine people I knew. Her music always graced the family get togethers and we will miss her dearly. Carol Smith Fanning
Dear Laura and sibblings, What a wonderful legacy your Mother leaves. Her influence will surely be felt for years to come. Please know that the Austin-Barger Sunday School Class is praying for you all. Our hearts go out to you, and our hugs are forthcoming, Laura.
