May Gods loyal love comfort you during
this difficult time.
I had the honor of working with Renee at St. Charles psych unit many years ago and recently reconnected on Facebook. She contributed so much to this community in so many ways with her compassion, this is such a tremendous loss for family and friends that words cannot express. Renee's smile and laugh were so contagious.....and the twinkle in her eyes!!!!! I met Renee early in my psych nursing career and she was a big influence on me. An unforgettable woman that will be missed by many. Candles lit.......
I never met Renee. I only heard of her through a mutual friend. Our friend always had kind words to say. I am a breast cancer survivor. I received confirmation of my new entity in March 2012. I am currently fighting this battle for a 2nd time. Renee's story gave me strength. I wish I could have spoken to her and told her.
Her family and friends are in my prayers.
by His grace,
I met Renee at the former Mercy hospital. I had just given birth to my 1st born. I was young, single, clueless, and had a very sick baby. Because I had worked since I was 16yo, I initially refused afdc and said I will make payment arrangements on the hospital bills. Renee explained to my baby was only 4 days and her hospital bill was already 15, 000. Renee in her very warm spirit, encouraged me and explained to me I had paid taxes since I was 16 y.o.; Therefore, it's okay to lean on other supports in a time on need. She finally convinced me that the help I was in need of was a stepping stone not a life style. She was nonjudgmental, soft spoken, with so much compassion for humanity and an absolute joy to know. Her life was not in vain. God bless all of the family and a special prayer for her son. Renee, RIP and wear your crown. In God's love.
You left a wonderful legacy Renee.
After reading through your Guest Book, I can see what a beautiful legacy Renee has left her family, friends, and our community as well. Rest in peace, Renee. You will certainly be missed, but never forgotten.
You did your 1974 SHS classmates proud.
I worked with Renee at St. Charles Hospital, and am saddened to hear of her death. She was a positive influence, and a well regarded colleague and friend to all who had the pleasure to meet her. My condolences to her family.

You were a beacon of light to many. I joined AmeriCorps when I was 18 years old and your guidance helped me aspire to be a better person. The world is a little less bright without you in it. Prayers to your family. <3 <3 <3
Renee was 12 when I met her. She would be given the job of "chaperon" on some of the dates her big sister Barb and I had. I still remember a kid with big eyes and a bigger smile. Congratulations Renee on becoming such a fine lady.
Aunt Renee we all loved you so much (Betty, Debbie, Vicki, Cammie, Amy and Annie)and you will be missed you were a very kind and loving person and our prayers are with Chuck, Joey, Angie and all of your family at this difficult time.
Renee was one of Toledo's finest non-profit executives. She was a professional in every sense of the word and a person of great love and compassion for people in need. She will be greatly missed by all of us who were luck enough to work with her. God speed Renee.
