I shall never forget Mr. Martin- We met many years ago when I simply asked him for an art donation for the Victory Center. I was chairing an auction. He gave with such generosity and spirit..he continued to donate his art work to me and my many charitable organizations...He will always remain in my heart and touched me in his own special way.....my sincere sympathy to his family....
Katie, Ted, Joanne and family. My sympathy to you all. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful man with everyone. I appreciate what Bob did for me in high school and college. He spoke to me about architecture as a career, about what I might study in college, and showed me several of his upcoming projects. As always, he was charming, informative and a gracious host. Very much an ambassador of his field and filled with a creative spirit.
My heart was truly saddened to hear of "Uncle" Bob's passing. What a great man, husband, and father! He will surely be missed. My love is extended to all, and most especially to my dear Aunt Katie. With love, Lori
Ted and Joanne, please convey my sincere sympathy to the family and especially to Katie. I have known both of them for so many years. We have had so many good times over the years. I will miss him. I only wish that I could be there to celebrate Bob's life with you. Florida is just too far away. May God be with you and bless you.
Remember the good (and fun) times! Like when Bob rolled up his pant legs and danced at the Art on the Mall after his double knee replacement. May his memory be eternal!
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Wishing you strength in the days ahead. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
Dear Katie and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Actually our loss, he was always involved in fine arts projects. I knew him as a fine artist, and as a delegate to the Toledo Federation of Art Societies, who also served as president. May you rest in peace, Bob.

God Speed, may you rest in peace.
It was with such sadness I learned of Bob's passing. We shared a studio together for many years and Bob brought an energy and grace to the studio that was fantastic. Bob went out of his way to offer guidance and friendship to me, and I will never forget our conversations. My sincere condolences for the life lost, but what a legacy Bob leaves behind!
My Dear Katie and family~ "Uncle Bob", as I have called him for quite some time now, was a delight and pleasure to run into at all the art events and around town. You were both such a joy to see and spend time with~ I truly loved hearing all the stories about your days with Papa and Irene. With great anticipation, I awaited our next meeting. Know that you both truly touched my life and heart as well as my family's. This feels like such a great loss to me as well as our community. I am very saddened to never see that smile, have that hug & kiss, or talk about the crazy pants from grandpa worn with the red bandana again in this lifetime. I promise to honor Unlce Bob by striving for his inspired spirit in the way he loved and gave of himself to others. Love you both! You are in my prayers.
Katie... Just the other day I was thinking of the practical gifts you and Bob gave us as I used the telescoping magnet to pick up a safety pin! Carolyn and I join many, many others in praying for you in the coming days... Your Bobbie is not here anymore. That is truly sad. But our Lord Jesus will surely comfort you in these hours... We both love you and I, too, feel that Bob's passing is a loss to this world. Kendal

Katie: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Bob was such a nice man, and I am going to miss seeing him with you at the Greek Festival. He is certainly going to be missed by all his friends.
I have very fond memories of Bob, we were in the same group of artists painting watercolors with Walter Chapman and Byron Kohn...he was a delight to be around, so kind, wonderful sense of humor, and so inspiring! I can still picture Bob in my mind, in Rockport, MA....sitting on a flat rock, using his lap as an easel, painting a beautiful ocean scene. I don't recall Bob ever using a chair! He was such a unique person, extremely talented...his art work always had me in awe!! A true gem of a gentleman, was Bob. Had not seen Bob in years, and was fortunate enough to run into him recently, at a gallery where Walter Chapman was doing a live demonstration. We had the most enjoyable conversation, and quite a few laughs, as well. I will never forget Bob, what a wonderful person that he was. My condolences to dear family, he will be missed by many.
To the entire famaily, I was so sad to learn of Bob's passing. It was a great honor to have met Bob, and to get to know him. Bob was a great friend to so many people. He always had time to listen and offer support and understanding. Always ready with a story or a joke, he never failed to make me smile and laugh. Bob always made me feel welcome at Tile Club, Monday Morning Painters, and often took me under his wing. I will miss the twinkle in his eye and his love of life. He was a great example to so many of us. Bob always generated warmth and sincerity. He made you feel like you mattered. I will sorely, surely miss him.
Memories of your dad always make me smile. I always looked forward to seeing him... he was fun and exciting to be around. My parents were lifelong friends and I always heard a lot of laughter in the house when they got together. He had an indomitable spirit.
I know he will be missed by you and your family. God rest his soul.
