Father Carroll. You are now with the Lord hopefully looking down on us with a smile. I am so thankful that you were able to be ordained. Rest in peace
I'll never forget all those nights doing shots with him at the Unstable and then going for a ride to Denny's for chicken fingers. RIP Bro.
May the god of comfort be with you and your family at this difficult time.
Dear Carroll family, We met Scott when he was a seminarian. We were immediately drawn to his quiet, gentle nature. He was a gentle "presence". Even while visiting him in the hospital less than two weeks ago, he had a gentle strength that humbled me. As I was leaving him, he asked God to bless me. I cried. God bless you Fr. Scott Carroll. Please pray for us. Humbly, the McNamee and Tumasian family
Fr. Scott will be deeply missed by so many. He touched many people including myself and my family. Fr. Scott was truly a blessing to all. May your family find the strength and peace through prayer and God's blessings and may Fr Scott have eternal life in the hands of God and Jesus Christ, our saviour.

It is quite clear from reading all of these entries that your brother was a very special person who touched the hearts and minds of people of all ages. I am so very sorry for this difficult loss. May the joyous memories that you hold, bring you peace and comfort in the difficult days to come.
My deepest sympathies.
This guy was such a cool man, such a great teacher. I'm not sure anyone has anything bad to say about him. He was quiet but had a sense of humor. I remember joking with him during class. He would laugh and it was contagious. I'm glad my friend and I shared those laughs with him because that is how I will always remember him! It didn't matter that I didn't love the subject he was teaching, I always looked forward to a good chat with him!
Scott has been a respected friend since our daughter Kay introduced him to us at a 4H meet in the late seventies. Scott was always congenial and an exceptional person. He was enjoyable to visit with.
Scott's brother, Tim was also a 4H member and married our daughter Kay on February 3, 2003...Father Scott served as an outstanding Best Man at the ceremony. He will be remembered with great love and respect.
My condolences to the Carroll & Roller families. I have many fond memories of Scott and know he will always be remembered and loved. He really impressed the good Lord for him to take him by his side so quickly. Rest in peace Father Scott.
Scott Carroll was a gentleman in every way. He was one of the most patient, kind and thoughtful people that I have ever known.
I have said numerous rosaries for you these past few weeks after a message from Father Frank Kehres. I am so happy you were ordained and know that God had a place waiting for you in heaven. I never knew you other than through the heart of Father Frank, but I know that you were a wonderful man, and one fantastic priest. I know you will use your holiness for all of us still living in this world. With continued prayers and forever love, Barbara Jeanne Fisher/ Sacred Heart, Fremont, Ohio
Nearly 20 years later, I still have the fondest of memories sitting in Mr. Carroll's social studies class at Swanton Middle School. I was heartbroken to learn of his passing. He was truly a wonderful man and a great teacher. My prayers are with his family during this very difficult time. Rest in peace, Mr. Carroll.
I did not know you personally. Fr. Kris from Regina Coeli shared your story. God works in mysterious ways, you will share paradise with him on the feast of our Lord Jesus Accession into Heaven. Your family and friends must be so proud of your good works that will follow them the rest of their lives. God Bless to All.
Rest in peace, my friend and colleague. Suzanne
Fr.Carroll, I promised you I would be at your ordination in June. I still plan on being there. I know you will be there in spirit. Christ ascended to heaven on Thursday and you followed early Friday morning.
My prayers are with your family at this time.
