With love and hugs,
Our hearts are heavy here at Notre Dame for the loss of our friend and one of the greatest Irishmen I have ever known. The Murtagh and Gerity family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Uncle Bill made me feel welcome to his family from day one. The Murtagh, Kenney, Korhumel clan can appear quite imposing to a new in-law. I always felt like a "real" nephew to Uncle Bill. I will miss him terribly.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this difficult time. I always remember him as kind, warm and with a genuine smile. May God's blessing be with you all.
Joanne, my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family at this sad time of losing someone so dear! The obituary is a beautiful tribute to a good man. Remember "those who ave given of themselves to others will live forever in each heart he has touched" May your special memories of Bill bring you comfort and healing in the days to come. God be with all of you! sincerely, Tessie Boucouras, Naples, Florida
