May God bless you for this project. I have always felt very strongly that every child should learn to read and learn to swim. I am so glad to have come across your site and intend to support your cause. My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your beloved son.

Dear Ms Butts, ,
Your story is truly inspiring: Where most would have caved in to grief and despair in the face of such an unbearably tragic loss, you courageously preserved. And you have created a foundation and a life thoroughly worthy of your beautiful son, Josh. Brava! I salute you,my dear . I will help as I am able.

Wanda, I was moved by your inspirational story on CNN Heroes Award. Your compassion for the greater good moved me to tears. Your son was and is a lucky guy to have you as his mom. I have wonderful memories on my childhood summers on swim team and as a result, I love the water. I hope your students begin a childhood of fun memories in the water as well. Sending lots of love

I just saw your story on CNN and I wanted to reach out to you. I want to 1st say Congratulations on the Hero Award.

My son just learned how to swim at age 16. Your story has touched me so much that I too am determined to learn how to swim at age 45.

I was raised in Philly and tried to learn several times but gave up after one of my friends almost drowned, in addition to the "Can't get my hair wet Syndrome." However, it is sooooo very important to teach individuals how to swim.

I currently live in Atlanta and want to overcome this fear of water. Your story has definitely inspired me and my daughter who is 9 to sign up for classes. I will keep you posted on how this works out.

Your story is inspirational. Ive taken my 7 year nephew, 10 year old niece, 12 year old niece and 13 year old niece from inner-city west side Chicago to a water park and taught them how to swim.
