My Sister told me this week that Irene had passed in January.
I wanted to send a note and pass my condolences along as I remember what wonderful times I had with the Grabowski family, growing up in Toledo.
Mrs. Grabowski (we never called adults by their first name back then!) was an inspiration to me. It seemed like she could do it all, and still look great.
She was generous and invited me into the Grabowski home, often, while I enjoyed "overnights" with her daughter Sharon.
Life always seemed a little more fun at the Grabowski home.

This is a sad time and I'm sorry I couldn't be in Toledo for the funeral. I'm sure it was full of great memories.

Sincerely,
Sally Kerscher

I remember visiting Irene and Julius when they lived on Heatherdowns Blvd. My Aunt, Dolly (Duszynski) Grey would send us there to deliver or retrieve something for her. We visited Dolly at an assisted living facility in Florida and she told us that Irene was more than a friend---she was related to us. I remember how nice her family was and my husband was impressed with Julius's great physique and body building ventures. May you keep her legacy
and wonderful memories in you minds and heart forever.
