Fiction or Fact From Mr. Quinlivan's Almanac - I walked into each and every class with this on the board. I took his American History Survey class and his American President's class. He was one of my favorite teachers EVER. He is one of the teachers responsible for my excellent education. He was a very intelligent man, with a voracious appetite for knowledge and passing it on to his students. His contribution to society cannot be measured and neither can the kindness of his heart. Please accept my sincerest condolences and my God bless him and your entire family.

My deepest sympathies to the Quinlivan family. Jim was a wonderful teacher too many students and an important part of the Washington Local family. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity of knowing "Mr. Q" as both a teacher and a colleague. I could always count on him for an interesting conversation. He will be missed.

In 1976 I entered the halls of WHS as a wide eyed Soph and the first class I had was Mr. Q's "Frontier America". He had a passion for the material and always a joke or comment. Funny I find most of the reading for pleasure I do is 18th and 19th Century history. I guess he left an impression on my life. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
