Mr. Quinlivan's dedication, knowledge and passion for his craft and students are part of a lasting legacy of the foundation that has helped to build Whitmer into one of the finest high schools in the state. He left an indelible impression on countless numbers of students and colleagues all of whom are better for having known him, myself included. We will all miss him greatly. My deepest condolences to his family.

Jim will be missed by the Stamp Collector's Club of Toledo, of which he was a valued member and former officer for a great many years.

Although I did not have Mr.Q as a teacher, he was well respected and fun to have at Whitmer's mock convention of '80. My son however did have him as a teacher in '04 and learned much from him. He will be missed. Rest in Peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Jim at Whitmer for seven years. He had an amazing passion for the profession, a great sense of humor, and was kind and understanding in every interaction. He was a good friend and will be missed.
