Our sincere sympathy in the loss of your spouse, mother, and grandparent. Howard and Jean attended most of our monthly Whitmer Alumni luncheons. The picture we are adding was their visit to the May, 2017 Whitmer Luncheon.

Karen, Kevin, your father, and your families, I am so sorry to hear of Jean's passing. Karen, as you may know, Jean and I got to know each other quite well when we were both taking the same class for Caregivers at the Sylvania Senior Center. I was there as the sole Caregiver for my father who lived with me for 5 years until his death in 2010, and she was there for your father. Because we shared similar roles, we were able to empathize and understand the difficulties and stresses of the role and provide each other with support. Jean was a remarkable woman, not only as evidenced by her many accomplishments as the obit relays. She was clearly remarkable as evidenced in you two, her children. She clearly left this world a better place by the life she lived and example she was to others. Be assured you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. You have my deepest condolences in yours, and this world's, loss of a special woman.
