Lewis E.
Lewis E. Albright, 76, of Martin, Ohio died Saturday, January 5, 2013, in his residence. Lewis was born in Millbury, Ohio on November 2, 1936, to Edward and Agnes (Younker) Albright. He married Barbara (Bertok) in Williston, Ohio on October 18, 1958 and she preceded him in death on May 30, 2003.
Lewis was a machine repairman for the General Motors Corp. working at the Chevrolet plant in Toledo for 32 years; he was promoted to foreman for 3rd shift early in his career then to 3rd shift Supervisor for many years, retiring in 1991. He also farmed for more than 40 years. Lewis was a Trustee for Allen Township during the 1990's and a former fireman for the Allen Township Volunteer Fire Dept., now the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District, Station #1 in Williston, Ohio. He was also an honorary member of the Millbury Fire Dept. Lewis was a member of the Genoa Masonic Lodge #138, the Directors Staff of the Zenobia Shrine, Toledo, and the Genoa FFA Alumni Assoc. In his free time he enjoyed taking fishing trips to Canada with his oldest grandson.
Survivors include his children, Edward (Sandra) Albright, Mary Albright, Christina "Tina" (Thomas) Dipman, Michael (Shannon) Albright, Susan Chapman; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and sister, Sandra (Walter) Diebert. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, and an infant brother.
A funeral service for Lewis will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa, OH 43430. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening and on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. The Masonic Lodge will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening in the funeral home and on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m., the Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist will conduct a Fireman's service. Interment will be in the Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. The family suggests that memorial contributions, be directed to, Allen Clay Joint Fire Dist., Station #1, P.O.
