It was a privilege and honor to begin the practice of law way back in 1976 when I was first admitted in Monroe County. At that time, she served on the District Court alongside Judge Taft and Judge Sanphillip. Needless to say she was the prettiest of the 3. She was extremely intelligent and accommodating especially to this young attorney. She was able to get to the bottom of each case and decide the case fairly without any form of favoritism. She was an asset to the Monroe County Judiciary as well as to all those attorneys who practiced before her. She will be sorely missed. God Bless Judge Pat and my condolences to all the members of your family.

As an Altrusan, Pat Costello was keenly aware of the needs of our county's most marginalized citizens. For over 50 years, Monroe Altrusans have worked together quietly but steadily providing support for Monroe County residents and beyond. It was a privilege to serve with her.

Pat was one of the most gracious, noble, and strong women I have ever met. It was easy to look up to her and draw from her strengths. I, too, enjoyed our conversations and her chuckle.

The Altrusa Club of Monroe's membership has been graced with some of the best women Monroe County has to offer. The Honorable Patricia Costello is no exception. She will be greatly missed.

A loving mother, an incredible spirit and a trailblazing example for all women. It was an honor to know her.
Our thoughts and love are with all of you.

Judge Pat Costello was in every sense a true lady. I would love sharing conversations with her and always her little chuckle. She was a wonderful asset to the legal community and will be missed. Rest In Peace. Debbie Wahl
