My dear friend Rick,

It has been 2 months now since you have left us and gone to your eternal reward. You so richly deserve the total and complete happiness of heaven that is yours now. I know you are happy there with your son Jeff and all of your other loved ones I can picture you taking Jeff for a ride in your red '57 Chevy convertible with Princess in the back seat :)

You always asked about everyone else before you ever said a word about how you were feeling. You cared so much about everyone else! Thanks for caring so much about my family,my Dad, my Mom, Rudy and all of the rest of my family. They all loved you too Rick!

You went through a lot through your life but it only made you stronger and allowed you to help others along the way.
Iremember any time we would go out to dinner or to the theatre, we would run into some of the kids from Bretz or some of your other friends. All of them obviously so happy to see you and I could tell that you had brought your friendship to each of them. Your sense of humor was unique and brought smiles to everyone's face.

I treasure all of the times that we were there for each other, and miss you a lot.

I'm so glad that we had the chance to tell each other that we loved each other as only really good friends can do. God has blessed all of us with you in our lives and now is rewarding you..
I will never forget you my friend.

Much love to you and all of your family,
Bonnie

Mikie:

We just heard about your Dad. We are so sorry. Your Dad was such a gentle man. When we first moved to Toledo, he was one of the very first to welcome us to the neighborhood. He was such fun, so easy going and a good friend. These past few years have been tough ones, but he never lost that special spirit that was uniquely his. That is what we will remember about your Dad - his warm, friendly, positive look on life.

Matthew and Michael,
I worked with your father at Bretz as well in the mid 90's where we discovered our mutual love of classic automobiles. I would always anticipate what great car he would be driving to work, or what the latest great deal on a car he had gotten. These are conversations that will stay with me forever.
You will truly be missed my friend.

I met Rick at Bretz 18 years ago. I worked with him at the door for several years. He always made me laugh, listen, and gave me advice when I asked him. He would be fun to be around at the door and mimiced me often. I will miss me dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Love you RICK!
