Vera was a wonderful, feisty, independent neighbor of mine for many years in Maumee, Ohio, whom I will fondly remember as loving the laughter of children playing, the beauty of nature and having cherished her family. I was always tickled with her spunk and the fact that she not only enjoyed, but looked forward to hearing my youngest son's Harley fire up and rumble down the alley. She had a peaceful, predictable and delightful routine of keeping our neighborhood songbirds fed and allowing the deer graze through her yard, even if they munched away on her precious John Paul rose bush. It was on the rare occasion that I could beat her out to clear the snow off her walkways. She had a special spark for life second only to my own Grandmothers. RIP Vera and my sincere condolences to all of her family, many of which I had the pleasure to meet over our long association.

Heaven has definitely gained an angel! A wonderful Aunt who was always kind and loving. Although we will miss you dearly, we know you are at peace now and where you have been wanting to be - with your husband, Don and son, Butch. You will live in our hearts forever.

My Great Aunt Vera! Such a kind, smart, classy and sharp woman! I would give her a year and she could tell me who the president was, who got married that year and sometimes I believed she could tell me what she had for dinner. Aunt Vera loved all her family and only spoke kind words. Very inspiring and you will be missed greatly. I have added a picture and we all know she did not like her picture taken, but she never denied me:) It's a neat picture showing the family tree in the kitchen, her piano she loved to play, and we're both wearing her favorite color! My heart is sad but also filled with joy for you as God has answered your prayer. Home to the Lord and finally reunited with Uncle Don. RIH Love you Aunt Vera
