Kay, Was sad to hear of your father's passing. He was a good friend of my Uncle Harold.

To the Leatherman Family: We are saddened to hear of your father's passing, but know that he is celebrating with your mother. They were both so kind to us when we arrived in Perrysburg in 1977 and we cherished the friendship that developed over the years. They will be missed by the community, the church, but especially by you. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was fresh out of law school when I was appointed as Prosecutor in the Perrysburg Municipal Court in 1970. I could not have been blessed with a better and more patient mentor than Judge Leatherman. He taught me respect for the law and for the Court and help me in more ways that I can say in this brief tribute. He will always hold my deepest respect and he will be missed. He was the perfect example of what a good, country lawyer should be to his clients and his community. My deepest sympathies to his family.
