I grew up thinking that becoming a major league ballplayer and a Yankee shortstop in particular was the highest calling imaginable. I eventually became a father and I watched my little girl, twenty four years ago, experience the first grade at Sylvan Elementary with Mrs. Faulkner. What an extraordinary gift she gave to Lindsay and almost one thousand other very lucky children over the years. With her kindness, experience, patience and hard work Zenobia laid the foundation for a lifetime of the joy of learning, giving and being responsible. Hall of Fame shortstops are a casual amusement when compared with Zenobia's long and accomplished career. Hers was a life well lived and a legacy that continues to pay countless dividends to her students, their families, friends and communities scattered all over the country and beyond every single day and for many, many decades to come. With sympathy and much gratitude, James King and family.

Faulkner Family, What a wonderful mother you had. My daughter was in one of her last classes at Sylvan, and what a fond memeory we had of her. Saw her a few years later when back in town and she was as warm and elegant as she hunted down her past Student. Truely remarkable Women. Thanks

Ernie, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in the loss of your beautiful wife. I so enjoyed working out with, or line dancing with Z at SJC, and I will miss her. She was such a beautiful person, always a smile and kind word, and I am shocked that she is gone, but now with her Lord and Savior. She is free of pain, and we must be thankful for that. I know that you and your family have many beautiful memories of her, and those will help you all through your grief. I will remember her with a smile, and glad that I was able to know her. Keeping you in prayer,

My deepest sympathy to the Faulkner family. Mrs Faulkner was my first grade teacher nearly 30 years ago and was my most favorite teacher at Sylvan. She will always hold a special place in my heart and I will always remember her for her sweet, soft spirit and how she went above and beyond teaching. I sympathize with you in your loss. Our deepest sympathy to the Faulkner family. Mrs. Faulkner was such a sweet person; always a smile and kind word whenever I saw her. It was an honor and a pleasure to have known her. May the Lord comfort and keep you during this difficult time, and always. Keeping you in my prayers.
