Tom Keith added to the magic of radio. I often listen to PHC and become involved in "Guy's adventures" or the "Horse Operas" and it is always because the sound effects draw you in. I am sorry for the family's loss, but I share with you the knowledge that many of the nameless, faceless listeners of the program will participate in your loss.
How wonderful that his work will live in the re-broacasts of the show. An enduring testament of his craftsmanship for his friends and family to enjoy.
My prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.

To the Family and Friends of Tom Keith,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I always enjoyed his contributions to the Prairie Home Companion, as did countless other listeners. Please accept my condolences.

And so begins a very sad day in Lake Wobegon... and in the rest of America. We've lost a national treasure. With deepest sympathy to Mr. Keith's family on the loss of their loved one. If you listen very carefully, you can almost hear a New Orleans -style jazz band playing "When the Saints go Marching In." Thank you Tom!

The Prairie Home Companion just won't be the same without you, Tom. You were the absolute best! My sympathy to all of your friends and family.
