Last night I mentioned Sister Lutton to my son, who began reading Oedipus Rex this week as a high school freshman. I learned about her passing moments ago.
I was privileged to have had Sister Lutton as my English teacher during my junior year at WWPHS from 1978-79. I remember learning the words "hamartia" and "hubris"... also while reading Oedipus Rex.
Many fond memories of a wonderful teacher.

I had Sister Lutton when she taught British Literature at West Windsor Plainsboro High School. She made what I thought was a dull subject into something fun and fun to learn. It was a very diverse class but she made it so everyone was involved. I have always thought about her even after graduating high school 35 years ago. She truly was a wonderful person. I will always remember her.
