To understand the impact made by Pete Mauro, one need look no further than the many entries in this guest book from BRHS East students who are 3 decades removed from Mr. Mauro's classroom. His passion, humor, talent, and teachings transcended the band room and football field and left indelible marks. What he created at East was pure magic. My deepest condolences to the Mauro family.

What a very sad loss for all who knew Peter Mauro. We first met Peter when he was band director at Bridgewater East High School. His enthusiasm and positive attitude resulted not only in outstanding bands but he developed self confidence and a sense of accomplishment in the children. Peter later taught our children various instruments as a private teacher. He became a family friend who was a joy to know. We will never forget him. He and his family will be in our prayers.

We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Mauro's passing. As a parent, I loved what he did for my shy daughter who came out of her shell through music. He gave her a special job and gave her confidence. She now teaches her own children love of music. Thank you Mr. Mauro. Mrs. Mauro and family, we are truly sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear about Peters passing . Pete helped me when I was just out college as a new band director at Lawrence High school. He worked with me during our Marching Band camps. He not only helped inspire the students but to inspire me as well. He had such a passion for music. Since condolences to his family. May he rest in peace

As I read all these tributes to Mr. Mauro, it is a true confirmation of how many people he had such an impact on. I was very fortunate to be one of those people who had the honor of having Mr. Mauro as my Band Director at BRHS East. Not only was he my Band Director, he was also the person who helped me (and my Sister and Mother) through a very difficult time in my life after the passing of my Dad. Through all the busy times he had as a Band Director, he always found the time to "take care of" me and my family. And for that I will never forget and am so grateful. There are so many happy and wonderful memories I have of Marching Band (even through the difficult time) thanks to Mr. Mauro. He will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Mauro and family. Praying for comfort and peace during this great loss. Always in our hearts forever.

Our family has many memories of Pete -
Sorry to learn of his passing. Perhaps our most vivid one is the day in Boston when the jazz band won and Pete practically jumped from his seat to the stage without touching the ground.

My sincere condolences to the Mauro family. I worked as the Assistant Band Director with Pete two days a week at AHS in the fall of 1998. It was my first music job after graduating college and I learned a lot by watching him. He brought me into the program and made me feel like I was a part of the family. His dedication to music and to his students was immeasurable. I have been teaching middle school music for the past 15 years and truly believe I would not be where I am now had he not hired me. Thank you, Pete, and may you rest in peace.

Peter you will be greatly missed, you gave me an opportunity that I would have never thought possible, you taught me so much being your Asst. MB director for the 8 years we were together at Allentown HS. I wish you had never left. Rest now you are in a much better place than this earth. We will all see you again some day..
