"HOMEBOY" it was good to know you.

My condolences, prayers and thoughts are with the family of Rod Pannell. I am sad to hear of his passing.

Roddy and I were friends from childhood. Over the last 40 or so years I would run in to him from time to time, but I was always impressed with the way he carried himself. He was one of the older groups of young men around town. As a young girl I always had the utmost respect for him. When he was with "his boys" he was really one of the boys. However, one on one, he was polite, witty, beautifully articulate of speech and kind. I thought he was probably one of the most intelligent men I have ever spoken with. Roddy knew a lot of things. What a legacy he has left for his children/grandchildren.

Dear Rod,
I will miss the many conversations of your kids and mine. I am so glad that you got to see Aaron graduate before you went Home. I will miss our conversations about Aaron and Colin running track and how I hoped that Colin could follow in Aaron's footsteps of success at the college level. But I will mostly miss your smiling face, your easy manner and your polite ways. You were always a gentleman and you touched so many with your spirit. A job well done.

Rest easy my friend,
Kyle

To Rod's family,

My sincere sympathy on your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Rod at Parsons Brinckerhoff. He was a good friend for many years. It was always good to talk to him about almost anything, and he had one of the best outlook and personality of anyone I've ever come across. He conducted himself with dignity and class, and I truly admired and respected him for that. We will miss him. Please take comfort in knowing that his many friends at PB will remember him as a good and caring man.

The Sherrill Family
