Viola Rue Obituary

Viola White Rue CREAM RIDGE - Viola Rue, 86, a longtime resident of Cream Ridge, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Capital Health Systems Fuld in Trenton. Viola was predeceased by George R. Rue, her husband of 67 years. She was born and lived in Hightstown until marrying George and moving to Imlaystown to live on their farm. She was a farmer's wife throughout her life, supporting local and county organizations, and helping coordinate the daily activities of farm life. Viola enjoyed downhill skiing, golf, and the Jersey Shore. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Rue of Belvidere and Lori Rue of Collingswood; two nieces, Sara Rue Ponczek of Uniondale, PA, and Diane McGrew of Delaware, OH; a nephew, Robert Rue of Imlaystown, and their devoted farm manager, Wayne and Yvonne VanHise. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St., Allentown. The Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson will officiate. Friends may call from 12 noon until time of service. Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Allentown First Aid, P.O. Box 252, Allentown, NJ 08501.

Donna and Diane,

I will never forget all the good times our families had together skiing in New York at Snow Ridge and staying at Mother McGees. I always admired your mom and am sorry you lost her so soon after your dad. May your good memories help you through these sad days.
