Rest in peace brother.
Mr. Bohoyni, you were definitely a fun teacher to have during History class, and that's saying a lot since I'm not really a fan of the subject. You were also a great coach and we all miss you. Rest in peace Mr. B.
You are at peace now - never forgotten
We send our prayers to the Bohonyi family. May you rest in peace Scott.
A family is like a body. When a family loses a loved one, it is as if they have lost one of their limbs. The contribution that was made by the family member that was lost can never be replaced. That person is gone. What that person has brought to the family is gone. Is it important for the family to take time to grieve for this loss. Doing so is a matter of respect for the relative that has passed. It is also a step that the family must take to acknowledge its loss. If we do not take the time to honor the lost relative, it is as if we are saying that they didn't matter to us.
We love and miss you so much Scott. You legacy will live on forever. God took you away from us way to soon. When you went you took apart of us with you.
My thoughts and prayers with the entire family and the State Police at this time of sorrow. R.I.P. Scott - Sheriff's Officer Brian Newman, Bergen County Sheriff's Office.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Police officers put their lives at risk every day in the line of duty. But when a police officer dies not from saving someone's life or taking a bullet, we feel a collective sense of loss as we recall their bravery and commitment to keeping our communities safe. The only difference is an on duty death is mourned by the world as where an officer's off duty death is only seen by family, friends and officers that knew him. The memorial to that Police officer is the respect and love of his family and friends had for him. Thanks Scott you will be missed but your memory will live as long as there are police officers. Good luck on the other side and May God rest your soul!
Forever Young, RIP Scott.
Thoughts are with your family during this difficult time. Rest easy Troop.
Rest in Peace classmate and blue brother. You've earned it.
You were too young to have been taken so soon. Our love, prayers, and condolences to your family and friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Bohyni family. I've never met Scott but I know his fiance and I know how deeply she is grieving for this wonderful man who was taken too soon. Scott sounds like he was a well respected, deeply liked man, who contributed much to his fellow troopers and ex team mates.
I had the pleasure of playing with Scott my first two seasons at FDU. Regardless of the score of the game, or our teams record, you could always count on #19 giving you 100% week in and week out. Being from the same town, Scott took me under his wing my freshman year despite being 2 years older than me. I'm left with a lot of fond memories, and the lasting image of great friend and teammate. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bohonyi family, and all those who mourn the loss of a such an exceptional person.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Bohonyi's and Scott's fiance at this difficult time. Scott was my roomate for 3 years at FDU, teammate for 4 years, a great guy and an even better friend. I have alot of great memories wtih Scott both on and off the football field that I will never forget.
After college Scott and I both pursued careers in law enforcement. Although, Scott became a Trooper, I became a local officer and we went our seperate ways, we were once again on the same team, brothers in blue. I can now go to work with peace of mind knowing that #19 will be watching over me and have my back just like he did on the football field. Scott you will me missed by many and forgotten by none! Rest in peace brother.
Dear Jill, Mike & John,
There are no words to express how deeply sorry we are about Scott's passing. We have such wonderful memories of the boys at FDU and we hope that all the wonderful memories you have of Scott will comfort you in the days ahead. Our deepest and most sincere sympathies to all who loved Scott.
Jill and Family-
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Knowing how nurturing you were with us in the office, Scott must have loved you very much Jill. My sincerest condolences and that you find strength in the days ahead.
Our sincere condoleces for your loss. Words cannot express the sorrow I know your family is feeling right now. Scott is now your Guardian Angel. The wonderful memories will ease the tears and the love of family and friends will be the gift of healing.
Sorry for the loss. Scott was an amazing teammate and even better person.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bohonyi family at this time. As the days and weeks pass and as you return to life's routine, may you find comfort by the love and support of family and friends. Our sincere condolences,
My thoughts and prayers are with the Bohonyi's and Scott's fiancé at this difficult time. Scott was my roommate for 3 years at FDU, teammate for 4 years, a great guy and more importantly a great friend.
Scott and I had some great times together both on and off the football which I will never forget.
After college Scott and I both pursued careers in law enforcement. Although, Scott became a troop and I became a municipal cop we were once again on the same team, brothers in blue. It now gives me peace of mind knowing that when I go to work #19 will be watching over me and will have my back just like he did on the football field. Scott you will be truly missed! RIP buddy.
Knew him briefly at TCA. Please share what happened?
Tpr. Bohonyi's first assignment after graduating from the State Police academy was Kingwood Station. I remember him as a respected and respectful individual, who carried out his duties as one would expect of a State Trooper. My thoughts and prayers go out to Scott and his family. Very sorry for your loss.
Enjoyed one year of football with Scott at FDU. He was in his last year when I played my first season. Unbelievable athlete, extremely sad to hear the news of his passing. Thoughts and prayers to his family and finance. He is at peace now, God speed.
Sorry for your loss. Thoughts and Prayers go out to the Bohonyi family.
