Dear Brian,Siblings, and family:
I am truly saddened to read of your dad's passing. It was just before Thanksgiving that I finally found his old email address, and sent him a note to let him know I was thinking of him.
Your Dad and I go back over 60 years, when we hung out at dances and other "sporting event's" His nickname back then was "Skinny Dugan". It was not meant to be disparaging, but rather he was named after a local legend who happened to be a Cat burglar who was adept at getting into tight spaces.
In 1971 when I left the City of Trenton, and took a job with NJ DCA, the first person I came upon was Dad.
After several hours of regaling ourselves with stories, we got back to work. Saw him everyday till 1988 when I retired, and stopped by the house for a visit as often as I could before I left for Virginia.
Dad was a consumate gentleman, and an extrodinary talent in the arts.
He was a good friend, and great coworker, and often an amusing break from the vagaries of life.
I'm sorry I did not get to say good bye, but will pray for his soul this Christmas Season, and keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
My deepest sympahty to you and your families.
ps, are you still living in the house I sold you?
Best wishes alway.
