HAMILTON - Leander B. "Len" Vico, 61, of Yardville, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly.
Born in Bay Shore Long Island, N.Y., Len had resided in the Yardville area for the past 35 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who was a proud member of the Red Horse Division who served during the Vietnam War. Len was a master plumber and instrument technician with the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 9 for the past 13 years, where he was also a member. He was first and foremost a family man who loved to spend time with his family and his grandkids. Len was a hardcore Flyers fan who also enjoyed watching the Eagles and going fresh water fishing.
Son of the late Basil and Patricia (McCormack) Vico, he is survived by his loving wife of almost 37 years, Robin (Cashel) Vico; his two children, Kristin and her husband Chris Pastor, Jason Vico and his fiancée Corinna Wolos; two grandsons, Cole and Chase Pastor; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Betty Cashel; a brother, Martin Vico and wife Karen; two sisters, Patricia and husband Michael Allen, Donna and husband John Love; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the Parish of the Sacred Heart, 260 High St., Mt. Holly, NJ 08060. Military burial will follow in the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08560. Family and friends may call on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
We miss him so much, and always talk about him sitting at our kitchen table. Best plumber ever. Fishing season, Len. Hope everyone is doing as well as possible.
