LAWRENCE - Lillian L. Bernabei, 84, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, she was a resident of Lawrenceville for 25 years. Lillian was a retiree of Heinemann Electric. Some of her hobbies included cooking, reading, knitting and crocheting. Her greatest love was being surrounded by and taking care of her family. Lillian will be sorely missed for her witty sense of humor and her beaming smile.
Daughter of the late Pasquale and Angelina DiStefano, sister of the late Hilda Hill, Viola Chiarello and Phyllis Nerwinski, sister-in-law of the late John Hill and Dominic Chiarello, and wife of the late Jack P. Bernabei; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharyn and Jon Grant; her brother-in-law, Frank Nerwinski; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. The visitation for Lillian will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Chandler Hall for the compassionate care given to Lillian over the past few days.
In lieu of flower, memorial donations may be made in Lillian's memory to Chandler Hall Hospice Care, 99 Barclay Drive, Newtown, PA 18940.
