Lillie Powell-Ford Obituary

WILLINGBORO - Lillie P. Powell-Ford, 67, of Willingboro, departed this life on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at her residence.
Born in Cotton, Ga., Mrs. Ford was a graduate of Trenton Central High School. She retired from the State of New Jersey Division of Revenue with over 25 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church, Lindenwold, and served as head of their Usher Board.
Predeceased by her parents, Ulysses, Sr. an Ethel (Lee) Powell, a sister, Pearl Jewel Powell and a brother, Willie Fred Powell surviving are her husband, Billy Ford; two daughters, Dawn N. Jerido (Alex) and Jessica N. Ford; grandchildren, Alex Jerido, Jr., Justin Jerido and Nico Palmer; brothers, Andrew, Sr., Ulysses, Jr., Samuel, Walter, John A. Powell and Willie J. Powell Mayberry; two sisters, Irene Powell King and Ethel M. Powell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, 1115 Gibbsboro Road, Lindenwold, NJ 08021. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.

I remember Miss Lil, from my years at The Div. of Revenue. She was a very down to earth person and this is one thing that stayed with me after i left. She had a warm heart and always gave good advice. I am sure that she was loved by many and will be missed. R.I.P. Miss Lil. God Bless.

My deepest sympathy on the lost of your wife and mother, Lillie and I grew up together and although we did not see each other on a regular basis, when we did it was like old home week, we would talk and talk and catch up on each others lives. She was a wonderful women and she will truly be missed.
