To The Girard Family:My memories of Bob extend from when he was a young boy living on Liberty St. in Hamilton Twp. through his distinguished career with the Ewing PD. His winning smile and great personality were special attributes which set him apart from most people. The pain and sorrow associated with his departure is understandable however,as time moves on his fond memories should comfort the family. Sincerely, Joe Bocchini, Mercer County Prosecutor

You are one special man. I am honored to have known you. and absolutely blessed for the brotherhood, friendship, and mentoring that you shared with my brother. Your own son helped me get through one of the darkest times in my life, even though he never met me. He helped just because of your friendship with my brother. That shows just a portion of the type of man you are - your son is a good man,, and that says everything. Thank you for leaving us all better for having known you, and for the caring and sacrifices you made protecting those who never got the opportunity to.
May your family and friends find comfort during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Bob Girard.

Pasternak said and I quote: "And now listen carefully. You in others-this is your soul. This is what you are. This is what your consciousness has breathed and lived on and enjoyed throughout your life-your soul, your immortality, your life in others." Bob touched so many lives - friends, family, and work colleagues. His soul lives on in all of us who knew and loved him. Thank you for raising such an amazing son who lights up my life everyday and a daughter who I'm so proud to call a friend and sister-in-law. I treasure all the special moments that I have shared with you as your daughter-in-law, and I promise that I will share all with your future grandchild. I was saddened upon learning about Bob's passing. I got to know Bob when he served as a security officer for NJM when I was a supervisor there in the 90s. He was truly a great guy and we had many wonderful conversations. What made our friendly relationship even better was the fact that Bob Jr. worked for me. It was during one of those conversations that I discovered he and Pat were brother and sister. I taught with Pat at Steinert High School for several years. My sincere condolences to Bob Jr., Pat and the entire family.

My brother and my best friend, Bob. You were always a gentleman, my confidant, someone I could always count on. It's said that a measure of a man's wealth are the friends in his life, you left us as a very wealthy man. I will miss you every day, but you will always be in my heart. I'll miss our daily talks about the Yankees, I don't know how they will do without our management after each game. I'll miss your smile, our trips together, smoking our cigars, holidays, but most of all my best friend.
You may have left us Bob, but your loyalty, kindness, friendship and legacy will be here forever.
Love you, your brother Jerry
